Thank You for taking the time to visit our website. We are Great Yarmouth and Waveney Fencing Club and proudly boast the title of the most easterly fencing club in the United Kingdom. The club takes pride in its reputation of being a fun, friendly and welcoming club. We meet every Thursday night, adults fencing from 8pm til 10pm and Juniors 8pm til 9.30pm at East Point Sports Centre, Lowestoft. The club is open to both experienced fencers as well as those new to the sport, fencing all three weapons: Foil, Epee and Sabre there's something for everyone, whether you wish to fence socially or follow in the footsteps of our past and present members who've competed at local, regional and national level. For those of you who are new to the sport we run regular four week Beginner Courses in Foil Fencing through the year, check out the Beginner's Course page for more information. Our next course is taking place on Thursday 5th January, if you're interested in taking up fencing, check out our Beginner's Course page or contact the club for more information. For more experienced fencers, weekly coaching is provided in the form of group and one on one lessons, which are taken by one of our club coaches or our professional coach Paul Stimpson. As well as fencing we arrange a range of social events throughout the year.
